It is stretched across 12 kms long in area. This beach is adjacent with the bay of Bengal. This is the loveliest beach in India. 
The beach over mount road has many old buildings in the walk able sides. The old buildings such as university of madras, Ezhilagam, director general of police office, and so on. These are the many resources this beach had. Morning when the sun rises, this beach is delighted with more and more number of peoples walking, jogging, exercising, playing and so many good activities has been done over. The sun rising over the seashore is the highlighting one in this beach. 
The government of Tamil Nadu has been taken actions on the surroundings of the beach with green everywhere. This makes all the agers to be relaxed and take a good warm up over their day to day life. More over the highlighting feature of lighthouse is the bright one to lead the beach. Near the lighthouse, the statue of Labour is a beautiful sculpture which enforcing the efforts of the group of labours who were worked to highlight the power of manual working.

The place were good things has to be conducted over here. Bathing in the sea and swimmer over here were prohibited by the government. If anyone exceeds the rules, they were severely punished and had been fined. The improper behaviours of the people will be warned and will take severe actions. The security alerts have been kept in all the important places. Peoples should be aware of it. The police cops had been always roaming over near sea.

There were many features over the marina beach like Anna Samadhi, MGR Samadhi, Aquarium and so on. These were the most highlighted one over the beach. Both the Samadhi's were situated near and near.
